Vijay Babu has more than 20 years of experience working in start-ups and established companies. He was previously VP & Head, Technology, Network Solutions Group, Sasken; prior to Sasken he was Co-founder, President and COO of iSoftTech; iSoftTech was acquired by Sasken in 2006. iSoftTech was one of the pioneers in providing Product Development Outsourcing services to companies abroad. He grew it profitably from scratch to about $2.5M of annual revenues.

Prior to iSoftTech, he was the Technical Director, Asia Pacific, MTL Instruments Group plc. UK, & was on the board of its Indian subsidiary. He was part of the early team that formed MTL in India. He managed various responsibilities including heading its Design, IT, QA & Production engineering as well as heading the Operations of the subsidiary – MTL Systems, that provided turnkey solutions to the process industry.

Prior to that, he founded two companies- Sentinel Technologies, which developed one of the first software protection devices (“dongles”), and VisaSofts, designing special equipments like ATEs and communication products. VisaSofts was later taken over by MTL. He completed his BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College Of Engineering – Guindy and M. Tech from IIT-Madras.

L. Kannan – Founder and CTO

Kannan has about 20 years of association with NGOs and other groups engaged in rural development. He founded Vortex in 2001 to develop technologies appropriate to rural India. He is also founder of a matriculation school in Tamil Nadu. He is associated with the LRAMP programme of IIT Madras that mentors grassroots innovators. He holds various patents on the vortex ATM design. He completed his B.Tech (Mechanical Engg.) from IIT Madras.

R. Narayanakumar – Chief Development Officer

Narayanakumar has more than 17 years of experience in leading engineering teams and developing embedded software for communications and process industry. Previously he was GM- Business Development, Network Solutions Group, Sasken.

Prior to Sasken he was Co-founder and Vice President, Embedded Solutions, iSoftTech; iSoftTech was acquired by Sasken in 2006. Prior to iSoftTech, he was the Head of Engineering & Design, MTL India. He has lead teams in developing Carrier-grade Core Routing and Enterprise Datacom products, Network Management Software, Automation Test Frameworks, and several instrumentation products for process monitoring/ control. Narayanakumar received his B.E. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Madras University.

K. Ravichandran – Chief Manufacturing Officer

Ravi has more than 32 years of experience, with extensive experience in manufacturing operations, delivering world class products for international customers. Previously he was Head – Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Services at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.

For close to 2 decades he headed the manufacturing operations and contributed towards building a world class manufacturing organization, a view reflected by all the customers. He has extensive capabilities in establishing long term relationships with customers and building a highly customer-focused team. He has been instrumental in creating a quality system to provide best of breed manufacturing services on a sustainable and improvement oriented mode.

V.Panchapakesan – Chief Customer Services Officer

Panch, as the ATM industry knows him, is an industry veteran in the ATM maintenance business, and was involved with the very first lot of ATM installations in India . He has over 2 decades of experience in ATM Service industry and was General Manager – Operations in Prizm Payments.

Prior to Prizm, he was Director – Service Operations, Diebold India, heading ATM Service Operations for more than 13 years. Prior to that he worked with Philips India and Electronics Corporation of India Ltd and has extensive experience on implementation of projects field Operations.

Indira Bongarala – Chief Financial Officer

Indira Bongarala is a chartered accountant and has 17 years of experience in finance. She was previously VP- Finance in Scope International and prior to that was Financial Controller for Asia-Pacific in Areva T & D and prior to this Financial Controller for Tyco Fire & Security, India.

She has specialized in Business Transitions & Reengineering, setting up finance operations and business partnering apart from normal finance functions
